Paper method

place a thin strip of paper across the widest part of your nail.

mark where each side of the nail ends.

remove the paper and measure between the marks with a mm ruler.
measure in millimeters (mm) at the widest point.
between sizes? go bigger.
repeat for all 10 fingers. they're rarely the same size.
